My new 2019 Model X had no way to attach it to a key chain. Since I can used to using a hooked key fob, I ordered this in silver so that I won't have to dig in my bag for my key for those few times I do need to get it out. It came with everything needed to use it. There are 2 screw drivers, which are needed to install. The housing for the actual key is a matte silver finish metal and thin enough not to make it overly bulky (unlike a Tesla branded one I ordered on Amazon that was bulky silver plastic). After placing your key in it, it is held together with screws. It comes with extra screws as well as small adhesive foam pads to make sure your fob fits snuggly inside. I did think there was something wrong with the crystals at first but realized each was wrapped in a very thin clear plastic wrap to protect them. The crystals dangling from metal mesh cord, which looks like nice costume jewelry. While is doesn't have an actual hook, it will be easy to add one now.
